- Providing public access to lists of qualified distance education courses;
- Facilitation of scheduling for qualified distance education courses;
- Brokering of qualified distance education courses to be purchased by educational entities;
- Assessment of distance education needs and evaluation of distance education services;
- Scheduling and prioritization for access to Network Nebraska by educational entities in cooperation with the Chief Information Officer and using scheduling software or scheduling services;
which meet any applicable standards established by the commission;
Pursuant to 79-1334, the Nebraska Information Technology Commission approved a standard for synchronous distance learning and videoconferencing on May 1, 2006
Following the approval of the standard, the Chief Information Officer staff developed RFP1683Z1 to procure a statewide synchronous videoconferencing event clearinghouse and scheduling control system.
The State Master Purchase Contract for that system was awarded to Qwest Interprise, Inc. with the Renovo Software System.
